Paul I am new to waypoint navigation. I actually got lost on a big lake and it took me forever to find the boat ramp lol…. I saw how you navigated to your waypoint with the trolling motor . Do you have a video navigating to a way- point running the boat ? Can you explain it like you did in this video ? I know it’s probably easy but I am very new to this . As much detail would be greatly appreciated.

Can you split the screen to show sonar/maps pages along with the HDMI page or the whole HDS 16 screen is occupied by the phone's sharing?

Are you using the C-Map withing the unit, or are you using a chip for Maps? The Navionics chip i have for the great lakes does not really give any better detail. As a matter of fact its worse then the C-Map in some areas on Lake Michigan.

Hello great video. I am having a problem with my unit reading 57 degrees F when our outside temp is at 90 degrees F. It is a Lowrance Gen 2 12". I just swapped out a Gen 2 9" that was working fine. I have the boat on my trailer and the sonar stopped. I am also seeing this on the bottom left. I am using a HST-WSBL transducer, and unfortunately don't have a manual. TIA What I see on the bottom left of my screen says , 1 unselected when in the Sonar from settings.

In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

So I purchased both the (500lb) and the American Fishing Wire (600lb) units. When My order arrived the 500lb snap swivels were inside a bag that was labeled "250lb test", which caused some momentary concern. I contacted to make sure my 500lb 10/0 swivels were actually 500lb test. responded promptly and explained the miss-marked package. These 500lb snap swivels utilize .080" diameter wire that, despite the size, is still fairly easy to open with your bare hands. The ball bearing swivels are a thing of beauty and roll smooth as glass. So how do the AFW snap swivels compare to the snap swivels? Well, there is a 100lb test difference so the only uses .080" wire, and the snap is significantly longer, which combine to make the snap easy to open with your hands. The AFW 600lb snap is so stiff, and short, that most people will need to use a pair of pliers to open them. Also utilizes ball bearing swivels whereas the AFW swivel is a plain barrel swivel. I frankly like both units and cannot decide which is better, so I made half a dozen leaders out of 49 strand 7x7 stainless 600lb cable I also got from AFW and I am going gator hunting. We will soon know who is the master of 500lb plus snap swivels.

Can i mount my Active target transducer to the transom of my boat for salmon jigging in salt water ? And if so how would i mount it ?

If the trolling motor is flipped the other way, so the prop is out, then is it OK for the transducer to be just the opposite of what’s in this video?

Hi Paul..I have a guestion... I'm mounting a point one on my new sea pro center console bay boat.. the power to the nema network only activates when the switch is on so when the key is off, Iloses gps signal from the point one.. do I need to set up a separate power source on an aux switch?

I'm having that issue stepping on the trolling motor to lock it in. I used all the shims that came with the motor. I'm just confused on the leveling part. went out to the boat and used a leveler...it looks level to me, am I doing something wrong?

I have a new Carbon unit and set a new waypoint. Then, I accidentally hit Go To and the route from my house to the new waypoint appeared. How do I delete that ? Thanks....I enjoy your videos.

Can 1 AT2 module show the Scout mode only or the forward facing mode only with the Lowrance Live or Pro head unit?? Then do you just manually adjust the module for the other view?

Can you use the HDS unit to connect to stereo speakers? My 2015 has a recently fitted 12” HDS Live unit fitted. In doing so the previous owner removed (and then lost) the radio/stereo head unit. So I have the speakers and the HDS unit. Is there a way of connecting the speakers to the hds or do I have to go and buy a new stereo head? Thanks in anticipation a rare Robalo owner in the Uk 👍🏻👍🏻

Paul, I have a Lowrance HDS 9 gen 2 touch at the bow and a HDS 12 Gen2 at the console, they are networked thru etherernet and named each graph. When I go to split 2D sonar windows, both the windows show either the 9HDS or the 12HDS but "not" one on each window. If I'm at the bow, I want to see what's going on in the back transducer and the front transducer at the same time but my graphs won't allow that. Why? I've seen other videos where you can do that but none explain how too

Ok...It was the cable! Bought the Microsoft cable and follow your instruction ..and it works! I have to figure why i don't have the sound. I'm doing this in my office, not on the boat...so I assume that sonar has to be blue toothed to boat radio. Anybody has any knowledge on this subject?

I was looking for your video I watched few days ago, where you're talking about $100 USB to HDMI cable...I ordered USB to HDMI on Amazon(cheap!) and today instead the previous video I found this video and follow your instruction. Unfortunately don't have the Microsoft screen. Is it possible that the cable is bad? Do I need 100 bucks cable? Electricity for Both HSD's Live12 is from 110V to 12V adapter on my desk..Red and yellow wires are twisted together. Please advice! Thank you so much. Love yours instructional videos!

Question, are you using Ghost 360 with your active target? If so can you tell me about the wiring of the system using both?
